Clinic Operations
The Clinic Operations team are our standard bearers, keeping every Healthstat clinic functioning at optimal efficiency. Through constant review of clinician performance, patient outcomes and clinic processes, service is enhanced and results are improved for both the patients and clients. The “C-Ops” team is headed by Dr. Doug Knoop, Executive VP for Clinic Operations and Executive Medical Director, and Tucker McKay, FNP, VP for Clinic Operations. And along with our 160+ clinic practitioners, they are committed to appropriate, evidence-based care for patients that results in an ongoing benefit to the client employer.
In order to maintain these standards, the Clinic Operations team utilizes Healthstat’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, predictive modeling, electronic pharmaceutical ordering and inventory management system, among others. Then it is all reviewed by the Clinical Advisory Panel. Comprised of Healthstat clinicians from around the country, the panel convenes monthly via telephone followed by quarterly face-to-face meetings to discuss and formulate action plans regarding any operational issues.
Ongoing oversight and auditing of both supervising physicians and clinic practitioners is performed regarding compliance with required entries into the EMR. Physicians randomly review clinic practitioners’ patient records for compliance with evidence-based clinical best practice. And in turn, both supervising physicians and clinic practitioners are audited by the C-Ops team for compliance with Healthstat guidelines for frequency and number of patient records reviewed, as well as compliance with established best-practice guidelines.
