John has more than 35 years of experience working with employers, healthcare providers, insurance carriers, regulators and governmental bodies on issues relating to insurance, risk management and human resources. Prior to joining Healthstat, John was Senior Vice President and Actuary at Willis Towers Watson; he also previously worked for Mercer and Unum. Throughout his career, he has helped employers understand what drives their health plan costs and deploy strategies to control those costs and improve health outcomes. At Healthstat, John’s passion is focused on demonstrating and maximizing the impacts of value-driven solutions.
John is a frequent speaker and author on topics relating to insurance, risk management, human resources, bariatric surgery and proactive employer-sponsored healthcare programs. He loves to learn and share information.
John serves on the National Association of Worksite Health Centers (NAWHC) Board of Directors. He is a former member of the Editorial Advisory Board for The Actuarial Digest and served as the Executive Director of the Wisconsin Employee Benefits Association for nearly 17 years.
